Why do I apply dye to a dry shirt?
When you apply dye to a dry shirt, it pulls the dye in more forcefully. This helps blue, greens, yellows and oranges seep under tight sinew lines that would normally block dye if the shirt were already wet.
Reds and pinks don't usually go under the ties even if applies to a dry shirt.
