What kind of shirts are best for tie dye?

Any shirts that are mostly cotton will work. 

For geode style tie dye, I like a 5% spandex blend because the stretch helps get crisp lines. 

For flowy ice dye, stiffer fabrics cause nice flow details. 

Rayon also takes dye beautifully, but it's delicate. Aggresive tying can cause holes.
